Teen injured in crash
A two vehicle crash on South Highway 321 in Cocke County, Sunday night sent a female teenager to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Trooper Tyler Hall said the crash occurred just north of Sherry's Market, at 11:43pm. "Griffith Blake Stuart, 19, Holders Grove Road, Cosby, was southbound in a 1983 GMC, when his vehicle crossed the center line in a curve and collided with a 1986 Chevrolet pickup operated by Bobby Armachain, 22, Roe Way, Cosby," the officer said. The 22 year-old Armachain was treated at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County, but his passenger, Kasey Murphy, 16, Cosby, was flown by medical helicopter to the Knoxville hospital, where at last report she was listed in stable condition. Charges are pending further investigation, against Stuart who was uninjured in the crash. Trooper Hall said none of the occupants of the two vehicles was wearing a seat belt, but belts would have made a difference.
